Hey, I'm Toosh

I'm a multimedia freelancer, and for the last four years I've been shooting theatre, gigs, events and anything else with a bit of life in it.

I'm Palestinian American. A lot of my early work happened in Dubai, and these days I'm based in Bournemouth on the south coast of England. I've never been one to stay put for long, so if your job is somewhere far away, I'm probably already interested.

What I'm after is the photo that drops you straight back into the moment. I want the cast to look at a shot and remember how the crowd sounded that night, and I want everyone else to see how much fun they were having.

On the day I try to make the whole thing fun. Once people feel comfortable they stop thinking about the camera, and that's when the good stuff happens.

The big goal is to become a cinematographer and work on proper big sets. Gaffing and shooting BTS have taught me a lot about light and about how a crew works together, and I'm building on that every time I'm on set.
